- Our club is off to a great start in 2016. Our membership is growing and has already exceeded our total in 2015. Participation in the first two tournaments of 2016 is up over the same time last year. Lets keep it going.
- The annual Longo/Spoto Memorial Super Bowl Tournament will be on February 7. This tournament is open to Members, non-Members, and women. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Yucaipa High School Boys and Girls Golf Teams. The format this year will be a 4-man handicapped scramble. There is a $30 entry fee for each player plus green fees. Tournament payouts, skins, and money for the scholarship is included. Please come out for a fun tournament before the Super Bowl. - The Board of Directors held a meeting on January 10 to, among other things, fill the two Member at Large positions. Lee Phillippi and Josh Alesi have been selected for 2 year terms. Both have shown interest in getting more involved with our Club for a couple years. Their willingness to help and enthusiasm is going to be a great benefit to the Membership.
- In just a few months, Twilight Golf will be starting. This is a summer golf league that starts on May 11 and continues for 10 - 12 weeks. It's open to men and women of any age. 4 players from each team compete weekly against other teams in their division on either Tuesday or Wednesday nights. 2 players play a 9 hole scramble format against another team. Weekly points are earned for season long cash prizes. Frances Adam is running the league and is looking for new teams or individuals that would like to join.
