- Happy New Year! It's the beginning of another year and that means those Members that didn't renew their membership by 12/31/18 are no longer active. Memberships can be reinstated anytime by mailing dues to the Club Secretary, Glenn Young, remitting dues to Glenn on a tournament day or can be paid online. - The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon. The 2019 Board of Directors was voted on and unanimously elected as follows:
- President - Michael Ebert
- Vice President - Josh Alesi
- Treasurer - Justin Mallinckrodt
- Secretary - Glenn Young
- Tournament Chairman - Doug Owens
- Handicap Chairman - Doug Solano
- Greens Chairman - Lee Phillippi

- Our first tournament of 2019 is scheduled for January 13. The 2019 USGA rule changes will be in effect and apply to this and all tournaments going forward. Weekly emails have been sent out the last few months with links to short videos about each of the rule changes. Weekly emails will continue to be sent out until all rule changes have been covered. - The Board continues to receive questions about why payouts are in the form of gift cards instead of cash. This was addressed in the February/March 2018 Newsletter. Archived news can be viewed by clicking here. The Calimesa Men's Golf Club is an amateur golf club and will continue to pay all tournaments out in the form of gift cards, regardless of where a tournament is played, to retain each Member's amateur status under the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. Our Club's position on this will not change or be influenced by any other golf club.
- The annual Longo/Spoto Memorial Super Bowl Tournament is scheduled on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon. Details on the time, location, format, price, etc. will be posted in about a week.
