NEWS - January/February 2022
- Happy New Year! I hope that all Members have a wonderful and prosperous 2022 including playing a lot of golf, hitting long straight drives, and sinking many putts.
- The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Sunday, December 5, 2022 at Soboba Springs Golf Club. The 2022 Board of Directors was voted on and unanimously elected as follows:
- President - Michael Ebert
- Vice President - Josh Alesi
- Treasurer - Justin Mallinckrodt
- Secretary - Glenn Young
- Tournament Chairman - Doug Owens
- Handicap Chairman - Doug Solano
- Greens Chairman - Steve Toms

- The 2021 tournament points leaderboard has been finalized. Click here to view the point leaders.
- The Tournament Committee with continue to allow Members to choose the tees they play from in 2022 until further notice. Members can choose any men's rated tees at the courses played unless otherwise notified by the Tournament Committee. Members must declare the tees they would like to play from when signing up. Members that don't declare a tee will be assigned to the Regular (white) tees by the Tournament Committee.
- The Bobby (Spoto) Longo Memorial Monument that was located at Calimesa Country Club no longer exists but the Board continues to vote on and honor Members that have passed away. Members are added to the Memorial virtually on our Club website. In 2021, the Board unanimously voted in Bobby Trask, Daryl Ritchie, Bobby Arcadi, and Greg Marksbury. - For those Members who also hold memberships with other clubs, the SCGA offers a rebate program so that a portion of the $36 fee that goes to the SCGA with every membership fee is returned to the Member with multiple memberships. Click here to find out how to apply the SCGA Multi-Member Rebate.
- It's with great sadness that I provide notice of Gary Sowers passing away on December 26, 2021. Although not a Member of The Calimesa Men's Golf Club, Gary grew up and went to school with Lifetime Member Tom Spoto in Yucaipa. Gary and Tom were friends for life. Many Members developed a friendship with Gary over the years at the Annual Spoto/Ebert Invitational. Gary was an amazing guy that will be in our memories forever.
