Billy Hargus shot rounds of 75 and 77 to capture the Senior Club Championship by 12 strokes over David Solano. The 2021 Super Senior Club Championship was won in dramatic fashion by John Kistner. John and Glenn Young both shot 79 in round one and 77 in round two. They went to a three hole aggregate playoff where John won. Congratulations to our Senior and Super Senior Club Champions! The annual Turkey Shoot will be held on November 21 at Hemet Golf Club. This tournament is Club funded. Pick your opponent and play for the Big Turkey ($15 Stater Bros gift card). The looser gets a a small turkey ($10 Stater Bros gift card). There will be an optional skins game for $10. Members that don't have a match are welcome to register as a single. The Tournament Committee will do its best to make sure each Member has a match.
As a result of Member requests, the Tournament Committee is going to try something during the tournament scheduled for December 19. Members can choose the tees they play from. The options are Forward (red), Regular (white), Championship (blue) or Tournament (black). Members must declare the tees they would like to play from when signing up. Members that don't declare a tee will be assigned to the Regular (white) tees. The low gross/low net, gross skins, and net skins games will remain unchanged. The Board will review the results and determine if this will be an option in 2022.
It's almost time for the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is a time to reflect on 2021, celebrate our success, listen to comments & suggestions from our Members, elect officers, and look forward to 2022. The meeting will be held at Soboba Springs Golf Club on Sunday, December 13, 2021 and starts promptly at 6:30 am. The meeting agenda is as follows:
Welcome Membership
Review of 2021
Congratulate 2021 Major Champions

Elect Board Members
Beat the Board Tournament
The Beat the Board Tournament will be played immediately following the AGM (8:00 am). The format is a 4-man 2 best net balls. The Board will field two teams. Members may create their own teams and will be randomly selected to play against one of the board teams. Any team that beats the board will place. The board teams have to beat at least half of the teams in their flight to place. Entry into the tournament is free! An optional team gross & net skins game will be played for $10. Singles are welcome to register and the Tournament Committee will try to find all Members a team.
Just a reminder that the Board has deemed Abnormal Course Conditions exist in all bunkers until further notice. Relief can be taken under USGA Rule 16.1c. The ball does not need to be dropped. It can be placed in the bunker.
Hemet Golf Club created environmentally sensitive areas on holes 13 & 15 in the penalty areas. Penalty areas with red stakes marked with a green top are environmentally sensitive and golfers cannot enter these areas. If a balls goes into an environmentally sensitive area, the ball cannot be retrieved or played. Please proceed under USGA Rule 17.1.

The Board has not forgotten about payouts for the Club Championship and Senior/Super Senior Club Championship. In lieu of purchasing gift cards at Seven Hills Golf Club or Hemet Golf Club, the Board has decided to wait as it is very likely that a majority of the tournaments in 2022 will be held at The Country Club at Soboba Springs. As soon as the Board confirms the 2022 tournament schedule, gift cards will be purchased and distributed.
