The Senior/Super Senior Club Championship was held on August 15 and 16.  Simi Ugapo shot a two day total of 145 to become the Senior Club Champion for the fourth time in last nine years.  He took the title running away from Paul Christainson and John Perez by 10 shots.  Greg Marskbury edged out Ron DeRenard by two shots with a two day total of 161 to become the Super Senior Club Champion.  This is Greg's third title in the last five years.  A great accomplishment!  Congratulations to all the members that participated.  Click here to see the complete tournament results.

The first match of the Yu-Cal Cup was played on August 23 at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club against the Yucaipa Men's Golf Club.  20 of our members participated in matches.  Unfortunately, the Men's Club is way behind in points.  Yucaipa has built a substantial lead (18 1/2 to 11 1/2).  The second and final round will be played at Calimesa Country Club on October 18.  In order to retain the Cup, we need 30 points.  That means we need 18 1/2 more points.  We are going to need a comeback reminiscent of the 1999 Ryder Cup.  For those that have forgotten, take a stroll down memory lane by viewing the video.

If you would like to participate or be an alternate in the Yu-Cal Cup match at Calimesa Country Club on October 18, please email the club at CalimesaMensGolfClub@gmail.com.  The first 20 to register will play a match and fight to retain the Cup.  Click here to view the complete tournament details.

October Is coming up quickly and that means it's time for the Membership Drive.  This is an annual tournament that is sponsored by the Men's Club.  It's the best time for our members to renew their membership at a discounted price.  It's also a great opportunity for new members to join our Club.  Joining on or after October 1 entitles members to the rest of 2015 and all of 2016.  Maximize your membership!  Existing members that bring a new member to the Membership Drive will receive a free round of golf at Calimesa Country Club.  Click here for membership information.

The Men's Club is going to have a Member at Large position opening in 2016.  If you are interested in getting involved and becoming a Board Member, please let one of the Board Members know.

Due to computer software issues, the 2-Man Best Ball played on August 30 could not be scored.  The results will be posted online sometime this week.  The scrip and skins will be paid during the next tournament on September 13.

Just an FYI - After registering for a tournament online, a confirmation email will be sent confirming your registration.  If you don't receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, go back to the website and register again.

Please remember to post all scores in accordanance with Section 5 of the USGA Handicap System.  Scores from Men's Club tournaments will be posted by the Handicap Chairman, Gary Sutt.  Other than Men's Club tournaments, it is the Member's responsibility to post all scores.  If Members fail to post, penalty rounds and index adjustments will be enforced.  Please take a moment to review USGA's flyer on posting scores shown below.
